lO:OOa.m. Meetl,ng called to ordel' by Chairman A.M.O'Meara with all members present.
Merrlll Gordon, Mike Shupe, Ron Phillippe, Norm Richie, Dean Gordon and Sofus N. Nesland appeared re: Oil-
ing of road from Oak Head to Hazel Point. They stated the dust is so bad, they would appreciate any~hing the
Board can do to alleviate the problem. Board informed that all they can do at the present time is to spray with
a dust repellant, as there is no 011 available right now. Engineer Becker will check into the situation.
Board approved the minutes of July 3rd. meeting by motion of Commissioner Huntingford and second of Commis-
sioner Kelly. Unanimous by Board.
Board and Auditor counted cash In the Treasurer's Office and received statement of receipts and disbursements
from April 1,1972 to June 30, 1972 inclusive.
Mr. Norman Peterson, President., Evergreen Environmental Development, Corp, and Mr. Charles R. Wilson.
from Port Angeles Savings & Loan Association, appeared re: Evergreen's Sewage System. Large group of property
owners from Toandos appeared against the proposed county take-over of the sewerage system. Main fear they
have is that entire county will have to pay for the system. It was explained that only persons buying property
within the plat would be paying for the system. Mr. Wilson explained their letter of commitment to the Corp.,
and stated money would only be loaned after receiving complete approval from the State and County. Commis-
sioner Huntingford informed of the County Services Act which allows counties to go into the sewer business, but
stated he is in favor of property owners in plat, setting up an L.LD. Both Chairman O'Meara and Commissioner ,.
Kelly approve of agreement. Property owners appearing are as follows: Mrs. Leonard Tucker, Mrs. Horace Bern-i

Letter from Horace Barnard urging the Board not to sign the Agreement with Evergreen Environmental Corp.
Chairman O'Meara received phone call from Wally Westergaard, Western Farmers, stating that construction would;
start on the Memorial Field roof on Friday, the 21st. of July.
Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment:
Planning for the Multiple use of Acquatic Lands, by Arden Olson and David Jamison, Department of Natural
Resources.
Revised U.S.B. Guidelines.
There being no further business before the Board I the meeting was adJourned.

July 24, 1972
IO:OOa.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O'Meara with all members present.
Letter of commitment for Evergreen Environmental Corp., from Highl1ne Service Co. to finance a mortgate loan
in the amount of $500,000.00. Loan is subject to approval of final plat by the county prior to disbursement of
funds.
Request from Li,ndsey Beach Improvement Association, for regulations regarding shooting in the beach area.
Board will check with Sheriff Hansen for number of complaints and incidents, and possibly write ordinance again-
st shooting. Mter contacting Sheriff Hansen, he stated that he will contact the Association.
Motion by Commiss ioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to approve and Sign Resolution No. 26-72,
establishing certain standards and requirements governing the accomodations of utilities on county road right-of-
i: ways, as set forth in chapter 40 of the Standards of Good Practice for County Road Departments, as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. 26-72
WHEREAS, RCW 36.55, pl'Ovides that counties may qrant franchises and permits to accomodate
utilities on county rOl1d right of way and,
WHEREA,S, it is desirable that a policy be adopted by Jefferson County establishing certain stand-
ards and requirements governinq the accomodation of utilities on county road right of way,
NOW it is hereby RESOLVED that chapter 40 of the STANDARDS OF GOOD PRACTICE for COUNTY
