Becker informed Board that both Park employees are using two da~;s a week dumping garbage and are unable to do other necessary jobs. Requested permission to contact Olympic Disposal for possibility of doing the job. Permission granted to get price list. Eva Taylor, Chairman of the Planning Commission, appeared to request a list of developments in the county, and ask permission to proceed with trail survey. Board granted permission to proceed with survey. Board received ballots for voting for replacement of rettred Assessor, Jim Sofie. Three names were presented by the Democratic Central Committee, as follows: Anthony E. Stroeder, Chester Strand, and Michael D. Orth. Board voted secretly. Ballots opened and votes counted by Secretary to the Board and Nancy Heslop, Reporter for the Port Townsend Leader. Tally shows one votE! for each name submitted. It will now be necessary for the Board to certify to the Governor they are unable to agree on appointment and therefore request that appointment be made by him. Copy of application for funds from Olympic Regional Planning Council for Agnew Irrigation District System Reno- vation. Notice will be sent of Board's approval. Seattle District, Corps of Engineers Public Notice No. 071::-0YB-I-000929, Jerrald Weidner, Mats Mats Bay- to construct net shed. Not exempt from Shorelines Management Permit. Notice will be sent to the Corps of Engineers and to Mr. Weidner. Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment:' Copy of letter to Casy and Prusan, from Engineer Becker re: Road Vacation. Two county trust land transmittal of funds from the Department of Natural Resourses: (1) $30 from Eugene V. Hoglan; and (2) $69 from Beatrice Pleines. Nursing Annual Report for 1971. Sanitation Annual Report fo:" 1971. Statewide Trail Inventory from State Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation. Report from the Department of Agri culture re: Nati.:mal Forest Unroaded Areas for Washington and Oregon. Minutes of Intermediate School District No. 114, Board meeting of August 10, 1972. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. ############################ August 28, 1972 10:00a .m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O'Meara with Commissioner Huntingford present and Commissioner Kelly absent. Mr. Fred Houghton appeared to attend the Board meeting. Request from the Department of Ecology and Evergreen Environmental Development Corp. for Comprehensive Plan for South Toandos Peninsula be approved as a Preliminary Engineering Report. Tabled until next meeting due to Commissioner Kelly and Engineer Becker being on vacation.. Also, bocause of no report being received from the Hoa lth De partment. Letter from G. Brian Egan regarding his property in the middle of Williams AddItion. Egan holds previous opinion that if he sells roadway parcels I then he should have same amenities, rights, access, water, power, etc. on I sama basis of other property owners in plat. Board will check further. Request for appointment for the disability Board, from John G. Doubek, Secretary. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford to re - appoint Chairman O'Meara for a second two year term. Seconded and accepted by 0' Meara. Board approved and signed Call for Bids for construction of prestressed concrete bridge across Rock Creek. To be openod and read on September 11th. at 10:00a.m. Letter from Edward J. Bums re: American Cl'lmpgrounds. Board will refer letter to the Health Department. Only regulation!! county can enforce at this time is Health regulations as there are no county laws governing camper clubs. Request for appointment of Boarci member to the Shorelines Committee for 4 3B. Tabled until next meeting. Letter from Mra. Archio G. Porter requesting county purchAse property owned by F. Pontine Hanton, at Good- fellow's Menhatton Be~ch tract. Chairrnl'J,n O'Meara stated request will have to be denied due to insuffIcient funds.
