10:00a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O'Meara with all members present.
Hearing for Shorelines Management Permit for Alice Carlson Radabough, Petition No. 32, for the construction
of a private boat dock. No. letters or persons appearing against issuance of permit. Approval by the Shore-
lands Advisory Commission. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve.
Unanimous by Board. Alse received Corps of Engineers Public Notice No. 071-0YB-I-00I07'6 relating to Rada- ,
bough Permit.
Hearing for Cassellary Road Vacation. Letter of recommendation frQtJl Engineer Becker advising that the
Cassellary Road passing through tax lot 16 be vacated and simutaneously adopt the Crown Zellerbach road as
part of the County Road System, and in preparation for adoption, a dead for a Sixty foot right of way should be
obtained from Crown Zellerbach. Bob Tiegel, representing Crown Zellerbach, stated he believes CZ only has
30 feet of property for the right of way. Becker stated this would be sufficient. Vacation tabled until definite
information is received by Becker and Tiegel.
Board received letter of resignation of Mr. Curtis Perry, as Water Commissioner, Popition No.2, Water
District No.1, effective November 1, 1972. No recommendation of replacement was received. Motion by
Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve and a ccept reSignation. Unanimous by
Board. Letter will be written requesting recommendation.
Board received two letters of complaint against commercial fish developments on Mats Mats Bay, from Mrs.
Frank Minter and Myron L. Scott, due to the killing of birds, garbage on tidelands, noise, bad odor, etc.
Letter will be written to the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Natural Resources for request of
process for elimination of situation.
, Department of the Ann~', Corps of Engineers Public Notice No. 071-0YB-I-00I093, Mariculture Northwest, Inc.,
to install six floating fish pens and ten oyster rafts in Hood Canal, approximately three miles northwest of
Port Gamble. Shorelines Management Permit now pending.
Request for names of government persons concerned with Natural Disasters, from the Department of the Army,
Corps of Engineers. Information will be forwarded.
Request for names of government persons concerned with Litter Control matters, from the Department of Ecology,
Information will be forwarded.

Natural Resources. Interest earned on monies held in Suspense Fund from Timber sales, etc.
Notice from the Department of Revenue re: School Budgets. States dollar amount levied for each district must
include income from property tax plus timber excise tax.
Engineer Becker presented resolution of Intent to Vacate north-west portion of Old Shine-Teal Lake Road, County
Road No.8. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to approve and sign Res-
olution No. 42-72, ilS follows. Unanimous by Board. Hearing date set for December 11, 1972.
RESOLUTION NO. 42-72
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it
is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System:
All that portion of OIQ Shine-Teal Lake Road, County Road
No.8, in Sections 16 & 21, T. 28 N., R. 1 EWM, North
and West from the intersection of the new alignment acc-
ording to the plan and profile dated August 14, 1972, in
the office of the Jefferson County Engineer.
and in contemplation of the language ofthe statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the same is useless,
now therefore,
