Board approved application for the City of Port Angeles Police Dept. for recording equipment, from the Olympic
Regional Planning Council.
Engineer Becker presented resolution for Intention to Vacate portion of Co. Rd. No.6. Motion by
Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve and sign Resolution No. 10-73, as
follows. Unanimous by Board. Hearing da te set for March 26th.
INTENTION TO VACATE

RESOLUTION NO. 10-73
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not
in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System:
All that portion of the Old Port Ludlow, Paradise, Shine Road, County Road No.6,
in Gov. Lots 4.& 5, Section 17, T. 28N., R. 1 E .WM., Excepting therefrom that
portion lying within the right-of-way of County Road No.6 as constructed under
CRP 292, approved April, 1967
and in contemplation of the language of the Statute R.C. W. 36.87.010, the same is useless,

now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate
and abandon said road, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby direct,ed to examine said roads and
report his opinion as to whether this eounty road should be vacated and abandoned; whether any is in use or

has been in use, the condition thereof, and whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County
..
Road System in the futurA; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other
facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be filed as soon as
possible,

Sheriff Hansen appeared to present letter re: Seourity Measures for the Courthouse. Requested meeting with
Elected Officllas to explain the necessity of reAtriotions, to collect keys, and to request that all offioials and
employees register with the dispatoher when working after closing hours, weekends and holidaya. Meeting
date will be set later on today.
Sheriff Hansen also explained that doors on the jail in the West-end Annex need to be changed and
requested permission to use a man for two days to repair the doors. Permission grllrlted by Board II
