Board reviewed the folloWing correspondence without comment: Request for review of Shoreline Management Permit No. 37, Jerry W. Ralston, from State Shorelines Hearing Board. Notice from State IJquor Board of application for continued operations through June 30, 1973, of Class H. license, for Randolph Holland Barrett d.b.a Discovery Bay Lodge. Notice from Wash. Local Government Personnel Institute re: Urban Technical Service. Minutes of O.E.D.C. mtleting of February 15, 1973. Minutes of I.S.D. #114 meeting of February 8, 1973. Notice of Port Angeles Veterans Job Opportunity Fair to be held May 16, 1973. I Mr. Melvin Goode appeared to express his appreciation to the Board for their flood prevention construction on the levy of the Big Qullcene River. KellY'Nith all members present. i Hearing for Vacation of Margaret Street. Attending were June and Verno Hadgdon, Lucille and James Morgan, Beulah Lux, Sr., Jack P. Farrell, Peggy Barber and Mrs. Jeanne Hargett, petitioner. Mrs. Hargett requested vacation of portion of s'::reet contiguous to her property due to campers, motorcyclists, etc. continually using her driveway. All others attending stated they are opposed because if road is closed some of their lots would be landlocked. Engineer Becker pres9nted letter recommending that street not be vacated due to future develop- ment. Motion by Commissioner 0' Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to deny vacation _ Unanimous. " Mr. Bob Hays appeared re: ,News article stating he was remiss in his duties as Chairman of the Shorelands Advisory Commission. Said it was reported that Mr. Sam Humes had informed him of his oppOSition to Jerald 'i Weider's herring fishing business and he had neglected to inform this Board and the Advisory Commission. il Mr. Hays stated emphatically that this is untrue and that he had advised the Board and the Advisory CommiSSion! and had also advised Mr. Humes to notify the Board himself, in writing, as he works in an advisory capacity:, only. Motion b~' Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner O'Meara to approve minutes of February 20 and 26 meetings. Unanimous. . Board approved and signed Resolu,tion No. 11-73, Interlocal Agreement re: Application for Grant, Law Enforce- ment Purposes, as follows: BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT RE: APPLICATION FOR GRANT RESOLUTION 11-73 I LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Washington State Committee on Law and Justice may consent to review for pOSSible funding of the project referred to as the Jefferson-Clallam law Enforcement Radio Network, submitted by the County of Clallam and with the cooperation of the County of Jefferson and certain named cities. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Clallam County Commissioners is directed to, I' I' Gxecute on behalf of this {loverning body and with the cooperation of the other above-deSignated governing bodies! of local governments, an application for a grant for Law Enforcement purposes and special conditions as in- ii cludod in said grant application. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE!) that the applicant agrees to provide tho required matching funds to said .ieJ1~ . project with s:;>ecified matching funds coming from the other above-designated local governments.
