BEFORE THE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, STATE OF WASHINGTON
In the matter of the Upper Hoh
Road No. 216 and the QUlnault
River Road No. 202
Resolution to Replace Three Culverts
I
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention to construct
culverts for three unnamed creeks across the upper Hoh and Quinault Roads.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is hereby appropriated sums in
the following detail:

The county road purpose herein described is HEREBY DECIARED TO be a public necessity and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed thereon as by law provided.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by day labor in accordance with the Standard Road and
Bridge Specifications of the State of Washington as adopte:d by this Board.
ADOPTED THIS 19th day of March, 1973.

Becker also prel,ented resolution re: Federal Aid Project No. S-0497(9) Quilcene-Center Road. Motion by
Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve and Sign Resolution No. 16 - 73, as
follows. 'Unanimous.
RESOLUTION NO.
16 - 73
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the terms of that certain Agreement made and entered into by and

between the County of Jofferson, hereinafter designated as the "County", and the State of Washington, acting
I through its Department of Highways and the Director thereof, under date of Aug. 28, 1972, the State will act
as Agent for the County in the participation of said County with the Federal Highway Administration under the
provisions of the Federal Aid Road Act. of 1944, for the construction of Federal Aid Project no. S-0497(9)

Quilcene - Center Road, copy of which Agreement is hereunto attached, now referred to and by such reference
incorporated herein and made a part hereof, now, therefore,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that said Agreement be and the same is hereby ratified and approved; and
BE IT PURTHER RESOI,VED that authorization is hereby granted for the reservation of an amount of

Fifteen Hundred Ninety One 6nd 72/100 Dollars ($1,591.72) from monthly fuel tax allotments, being an amount
not in excess of the money reasonable anticipated to accrue to the County in the Motor Vehiole Fund during the
current biennium as the bl1lance of the estimated participating share and costs of the County in the above men-
tinned project, for the use of the Direotor of Highways to defray the costs inourred in the performance of the
aforosaid requElsted work; and upon completion of the aforesaid work; payment having been made therefor, and a

statement having been furnished to the County, authorization io mado to raleaoe to the County any unexpended
balance of tho amount reserved by this Resolution. The amount of Federal! Aid participating funds will be
credited to the County when r~ceived from the Federal Highway Administration.
