Letter of request for waiver of s. M. Permit from Richard Gastfield. Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second
by Commissioner Brown to approve exemption due to "repairs to existing structures damaged by the elements".
Unanimous.
Engineer Becker advised that Solid Waste Management Plan has been completed. Presented copy to the Board for
approval. Board will review Plan before taking action.
Board approved and signed contracts with We Painter, Inc. for cleaning and painting of Portage Canal Bridge
No. 4/157, and Root Paint and Glass Co., Inc. for cleaning and painting Queets River Bride No. 206/060.

Reimbursment of Expenses, as follows. Unanimous. Resolution as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. 22-73
WHEREAS, according to the laws of the State of Washington., and in particular RCW 42.24.090,
Jefferson County Commissioners are authorized to prescrive the policy pertaining to reimbursement of county
officials and employees of travel and related expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Jefferson County,
Washington, that Jefferson County officials and employees shall be reimbursed by Jefferson County for the
necessary and reasonable expenses incurred by them in the performance of their official or aSSigned duties for
transportation, lodging, meals, or any other purpose in accordance with the follOWing policy:
1. Reimbursement for expenses shall be paid for attendance at meetings wherever called for
the purpose of dissemination, assimilation or exchange of information pertaining to the operation of Jefferson
County or for the coordination of county functions.
2. Reimbursement for expenses incurred by employees ()th~r than elected officd1s or department
heads shall be made only upon approval by the elected county official or department head.
3. Except for travel necessary for the immediate transfer of prisoners, reimbursement for
expenses incurred outside the State of Washington may not be claimed without prior approval by the Board
of Jefferson County Commissioners of such out of state travel.
4. Reimbursement may not be claimed for identifiable federal taxes.
5. Reimbursement for travel by means of one's personally owned automobile shall be at
the rate of lO cents per mUe.
6. Receipts or invoices mcst be furnished for all claims except meals and mileage.
7. Tips ,valet service, a lcoholic beverages, fights and items of purely personal entertainment
or luxury or other purely personal expenses are not reimbursable.
