Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown for Engineer Becker tocheck totals for possi-
errors. After checking, Becker advised that totals are correct and recommends Dell~ur., rnc. be awarded the bid.
Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to award bid to Delhur,rnc. for the amount
of $54,337.50. Unanimous.

Mrs. George F. STeiner appeared to present letter of request for oUing of raod that runs behind the Moa Motel
at Discovery Bay. Engineer Becker advised that road is not in good enough condition to oil, but they can put
down a layer of dust 011 about the middle of next month. Board approves.
i Dick Bradley and bob GoEhring, Members of the Department of Social & Health Services Advisory Committee
appeared re: Referendum 29, Washington Futures Money. Stated Legislature has been asked to i1uthorize the
sale of approximately $9 million worth of bonds and monies will be ava11able next year for the construction of
county social service buildings. Jefferson Qounty has now been asked to submit a proposal for a social service
, building. A Consultant Firm has been hired to bring all pertinent information up to date to present to the Legis-
, lature in August of this year. Approximately $645,000, with matching funds, has been allocated. Monies will
be distributed according to need. Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties have been classified as
urg~nt. All printed information w1l1 be forwarded to the Board.

cli' Program 1974. Effective January 1, 1974 through December 13, 1974. Presented resolution for approval and
signing. Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve and Sign Resolution
No. 24-73, as follows. Unanimous.

RESOLUTION NO. 24-73
RESOLUTION FOR JUVENILE COURT PROBATION SERVICES
The Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Washington, belleve there is
a need for a special supportive program in the Juvenlle Probation Department in the administration of probation
services for the delinquent and incorrigible juvenile in Jefferson County and that funds for such a program have
been provided by RCW l3.06.030 entitled, "Probation Services-Special Supervision Programs:" from January 1,

1974 to December 31, 1974.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that pursuant to administrative Order No. 7 of the Division of Insti-
tutions, this Board intends to establish a Special SuperviSion Program in this County; make application for funds
. avallab1e under the Probation Subsidy Bill with the approval of G. B. Chamberlin, Judge of the Sup'=!rior Court;
: deSignates R. L. Bradley, Director of Juvenile Court Services, Jefferson County, Washington, to coordinate

Mrs. Grace Umbarger and Mrs. May Bauter appeared re: Horse tra11s. Chairman Kelly advised that study was
now bflinq taken from Four Comer/l down towards Chimscum. Commissioner Brown said they are also interested
in traHs along the Oark Bay Road. They said the higgest problem is knowing what property can be used for trails
; and the removing of large logs. Commissioner Brown recommends obtaining information on county right-of-way,
:, drawing up a work plan and having bbys on YDCC program help cle8,r the trails. Board concurs.
