Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED -to report and proceed thereon as by law provided.

Board discussed two News Releases from the Department of Motor Vehicles re: (1) New Land Development Act .

The following correspondence was reviewed without comment:
Order of Final Decision from the State Board of Tax Appeals re: C. V. Morrison Valuation of $84,000
as found by the Hearing Examiner sustained.
Disapproval of application for license for Dosewallips Grocery, from the State Uquor Board.
Notice of license transfer from Chester E. Strand et ux to William Raymond Frazier d/b/a Trails End
Tavern and Cafe, from the State Uquor Board.
County trust land transm~tta1 of funds, from the Department of Natural Resources - $75 from Elmore
Majors.

Bid Opening for C .R.P. 357, Anderson Creek Earthwork.

Engineer's Estimate $29 ,l35 .00
Motion by Commissioner 0' Me,ara, second by Commissioner Brown for Assistant Engineer Bagley to take two low
bids to check totals. Upon checking, Engineer Bagley returned to advise that totals arB correct and recommends
J.P. Surace be awarded the bid for $20,685.00. Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner
Brown to award bid to J . P. Surace. Unanimous.

Mr. Joseph Dante1s and Mr. William Muir appeared regarding exemption from S. M. Permit System.. Letter from
Shoreline Advisory Committee recommending exemption. Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner
0' Meara to approve exemptions for both Daniels and Muir for the construction of a protective bulkhead on their
property at Milts Mats Bay Unanimous.

Hearing for the vacation of raod lying westerly of the Cape George 28th. street Extension Road. Engineer Becker
advised that notice of hearing has been posted, however, it was not advertised in the local pnper and therefore,
requests that hearing be extended to August 6th. Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner
0' Meara to extend hearing. Unanimous.
Hearing for Shoreline Management Applications for Permit, Department of Game, No. 52, Public Access to be
. located on the Upper Hoh River Road; No.53, Public Access to be located on the Big Quilcene River (Martin); and
No. 58, Public Access to be located on the Hoh River (Morgan Crossing). Letters recommending approval from :,
the S. M.A. Committee. Motion by CommisaionM O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve. Unanimouei.
