committees to each of which it may assign specific responsibilities and authority provided only that such

committee shall make no recommendations except to the planning commission.
SECTION 12. QUORUM - MEETINGS.
Five members of the planning commission shall constitute a quorum. All actions of the planning

commission shall be determined by a majority vote at a meeting of which a quorum is present.

Lillian Jacobsen talked regarding County Roll Back. County Commissioners must pass a resolution directing
that the refund be made. State will provide resolution forms. Lillian asked that they be carefw1 to make
it applicable to Jefferscn County. King COU'1ty is evidently having problems with this. Emergency budget is
estimated at $15,000 to take care of extra wurk necessary.
Betty Temple requested written statement of Short Plat regulation. She receives many phone calls about this.
Board suggested she refer those calling to Platting Ordinance.

10:15a.m. Meeting called to order by acting chairman A.M.O'Meara. Walt Kelly absent due to illness,
Norris Short appeared to read a letter from the Planning Commission regardinq the resolution passed to cro5te
a Planninq Department. He talked about enforcing zoninq laws and felt this would be up to the oommissioners
to decide who would enforce these laws.

Mr. Cheat of Pleasant Tides asked what happened when someone comes in to record a land purchase when the
Plat was found to be unrecor,led. Discusoed this with the oommissioners, who agree that thEl buyer is somewhat
tmproteoted in this case.
CommislJionars signed Resolution 36-73 County Road Projeot 363 to repair, clean and paint Quooto Rivor Bridgo.
