10:OOa.m. Meeting reconvend with Chairman Kelly calling the meeting to order and all Members present.
Engineer Becker discussed the petition to vacate a portion of Black Point Road. Hearing date previously set
for January 14th. Motion by Cominissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve and Sign
Resolution No. 62-73, Intent to Vacate , as follows. Unanimous.
RESOLUTION NO. 62-73
Intention to Vacate
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not in the
public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System:
A strip of land 40 feet wide across Tide Lot G, Tax Lot 2 and Tax Lot 6, Section 14, T. 25N. ,
R. 2 W. W. M., as described in a Quit-Claim Deed dated March 31, 1936, and recorded in Volume 1 of

Road Waivers, Page 558, Records of Jefferson County.
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C. W. 36.87.010, the same is useless, now there-
fore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and
abandon said road, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said roads and report
his opinion as to whether this county road should be vacated and abandoned; whether any is in use or has bean
in use; the condition thereof, and whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road Sys-
tem in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandvnment, and all other facts, matters.;
and things which will be of improtance to the Board; and that such report be filed as soon as possible.

ADOPTED this 14th day of December, 1973.
