Labor agreements for the Road Department and the Sheriff's Department were thoroughly reviewed by the Board.
Commissioners concur that Supervisor's salaries whould not be included in agreement for the road department
and statement relating to comp time for those working holidays in the Sheriff's office is in error. HoHday time
was agreed to be one day comp time to be handled within the department without extra hire. Matters will be
discussed and corrected with the Union before the agreements are Signed.
Board rece! ved letter of advisement from Judge A.C. Grady that Court Commissioner Harold M. Gronseth is
reSigning effective January 1, 1974 and Charles W. Becker, Rt. l. ,Clearwater, appointed to fill the vacancy
effective January 1,1974. Appoin1mant acknowledged and accepted by the Board.
Letter from Frank Erb, Chairman, Jefferson County Labor Coordinating Committee, recommending the reduction
or removal of the Hood Canal Bridge tolls. Board concurs and requests letter be drafted recommending the
lowering of bridge toHs, to be sent to Governor Evans, Senator Sandison and RepresentativES Connor and
Savage.
Assessor Hansen presented the corrected list of taxes to be levied against the real and personal property in
Jefferson County for 1974, conforming to District Court Docket No. 8310 re: D.N .R. Timber Sales.
The follOWing correspondence was reviewed without comment:
Notice of Law and Justice Planning Grant award in the amount of $2,385, (Clallam -Jefferson - Region l)
Request from Washington State Council on Alcoholism, for resolutions pertaining to appropriations from
liquor taxes and profits. Resolutions forwarded.
Memorandum from the Department of Mental Health re: (1) Hearing for ,'dopt1on of Rules and Regulations
Pertaining to the Involuntary Treatment Act; (2) Copy of Proposed Rules and Regulations; (3) Suggested
Revision; (4) Proposed Court Procedures.
Information from the State Highway Commission re: Ferry System Fuel Reduction.
Copy of letter to NIlva1 Facilities Engineering Command, from David Cunningham, re: Shoreline Manage-
ment Permit, Indian Island,
County trust land transmittal of funds from the Department of Natural Resources -$90 from Ken Hoglan.
Two letters fnm SutHffe & Co., Inc. re: ExpanSion of Company and Deferred Compensation Plan.
Minutes of Planning Commission meetings of November l4th. and 27th.
Agenda for Intermediate School District No. 114 Board meeting of December 13th. and minutes of meeting
on November 8th.
Guidelines for All-terrain Vehicles Funds, from the Interagency Committee for Out-door Rflcreation.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
