I, Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner O'Meara to accept resignation of John A. Brown,
Fire Commissioner of Fire District No.5, effective December 31,1973. Unanimous.

Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner O'Meara to sign letter of approval of the appointment
of lay Skewes as Director for Clallam-Jefferson County Regional Law and Justice Planning Office. Unanimous.
Board received letter from Howard C. Zimmerman re: Barrier at the conjunction of Anderson Lake and West
Valley road. Letter will be answered by Commissioner O'Meara.
Engineer Becker presented copy of letter to Fred Hahn, Ae:sistant Director, Office of Planning and Program De-
velopment, Department of Ecology, requesting a six months variance to the previously approved and adopted
County SoUd Waste Management Plan.

Chairman Kelly signed Grant Contract No. 016 between the Department of Ecology and Jefferson County to pro-
vide a "One Stop Permit System" relating to the Environmental Coordination Procedures Act of 1973. Grant, in
the amount of $1,688.33, is for county's implementation of permit system from January 1,1974 through lune 30,
1974.

Planning Director Cunningham presented copy of County's Shoreline Management Statis Report, sent to the
Department of Ecology, to be reviewed by the Board.
Corps of Engineers Notices No. 071-0YB-I-001830, for Max R. Musiel and No. 071-0YB-I-00l8Z1 Ethan Austin-
both locations from Hood Canal near Brinnon - will be inspected by the Planning Director before action is
taken by the Board.
