I Mayor Joe Steve and Roqer French, City Engineer, came in to inquire as to the progress of the County/City Regional Planning Council. Planning Director Cunningham advised that a charter m3eting will be held in acouple weeks to Sign the resolution of agreement and to approve the work proqram comprising of City's Comprehensive Water Plan, udating of the County's Comprehensive Plan and Human Resources evaluation. Mayor Steve said they are working on a Traffic Control Program, with the Engineer's conception of a "one-way" street proposal and requests county's help in opening up Jefferson street. Commissioner O'Me,ara said he would like to see Jefferson street and 14th. street opened up, however, the city will have to contra'ct for the county equipment. Discussion was held relating to the administrative aspects of the new building code and the required building inspections. Commissioner O'Meara suggests that the county and city join together to hire acoup1e men to handle the building code operations. Board concurs. I The Board approved and signed Resolution No. 12-74, Order of Vacation, as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 12-74 ORDER OF VACATION . . This matter coming to be heard this day upon the County Road Engineer's report with respect to the vacation set forth in Resolution No. 1-74 adopted the 7th. day of January, 1974, and it appearing to the Board of County Commissioners that notice of hearing upon said Engineer's report has been posted and published for the time and in the manner provided by law, proof os such posting and publication being now on fUe herein, and said Board having proceeded to consider the report of the Engineer, together with the other evidence adduced, and being fully advised in the premises, does now find and determine That the public will be benefited by the vacation thereof.
