The Board approved ,and signed a construction agreement between Jefferson County Department of Highways and
Marie Valley, as presented by Engineer BecKer. County agees to construct an access road, a fence and two
gates.
The following correspondence was reviewed by the Board, without comment:

Board.

There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

lQ:OOa.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Walter A. Kelly with all Members present.
Mr. lohn Eglekrout appeared re: Lowering of two culverts by the county. He requests assurance by the Board
that two culverts on his property will be lowered to the depo of the airport ditches, as previously agreedv
acouple years ago, provided the Port fulfills their obligations. Board advised that the county will do the work
as agreed.
Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve the minutes of March 18th.
Unanimous.
En gineer BeCKer discussed specifications to be required and listed in a bid call for a tractor bull dozer for the
County Road Department. Board approved Call for Bids to be opened and read April 8th. at 10:OOa.m.
Commissioner O'Meara reported that he had contacted Mr. John B. Robertson by telephone and notified him
that lefferson County has no flood funds or flood insurance at this time to cover the damage to his house and
property, and suggested that he do the work himself immediately to prevent the loss of his house.
Board approved and Signed Resolutton No. 15-74, relating to Courthouse Security, as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 15-74
WHEREAS. County Courthouse offices, the Courtroom, Jury room and Commissioner's room are utilized
during non-office hours, holidays and weekends by elected officials, their deputies, other employees and
other county entities; and
WHEREAS, Sheriff;s Department on duty personnel are not aware of who is in the building after hours.
holidays and weekends, and for what purpose; and
WHEREAS, the above situation appears to create a vulnerability relative to the safeguarding of funds and
equipment and also subjects jail security measures to question; and
WHEREAS, the above circumstance necessitates the development and subsequent implementation of a
security plan;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT ,all elcted officials and others having a Key to one or more of tho Court'-
house entrance doors relinquish posseSSion to the building Custodian:
THAT elected officials, their deputies and all other individuals usinlJ the Courthouse during norl-office
hours, holidays and wMKends, Sign in , in the Sheriff;s Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that access to the County Courthouse during non-office hours, weekends, and
