Planning Director Cunningham submitted a letter ra: Mandatory adoption of Uniform Building, Plumbing, Fire
and Mechanical Codes. Board feels this should go through the City~County Regional Council.
Cunningham also submitted a letter re: Trident relQted H. U.D. Housing Study Grant. Board advised that
they do not want to be included in a tri-county study, but want a complete study on Jefferson County alone, to
be later included in the final tri-county study.

Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner O'Meara to approve application for the Clallam-Jeff-
erson County CAC Head Start Program, from the Olympic Regional Planning Council. Unanimous.
Board received 1974 popul ation estimates from the Office of Proqram Planning and Fiscal ManagemBnt, estimat-
ing Jefferson County at 10,500. Auditor Zldvises they have us loosing 160 people. Board concurs and will
check.

Memorandum from the Auditor re: Youth Corp Jobs. Board wishes to check into the possibility of obtaining a
student with typing ability.
Ray Johnson, State Auditor, advised that a small error has been made in the Clerk's Office in the Clerk's Trust
Account for the amount of $200. He suggests the Board loan her that amount from Advanced Expenditures for a
period of two months. Board agrees. Resolution will be drafted requesting the Auditor to issure a warrant.

Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, seccnd by Commissioner Brown for Engineer Becker to check bid totals
for pOSSible errors. Unanimous. Engineer Becker returned to advise that E. A. Green had made a Slight error,
changing his total to 35,665.00. Upon closer inspection of GreeniG bid packet, it was found that he had
submltted a personal check instead of a certifled check, as reqUired in the bid call, and therefore it was unani-
mously rejected by the Board as being an irregular bid. Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commission-
er O'Meara to award bid to Surace Construction Company as having submitted the lowest acceptable bid.
Unanimous.

Determination on bid re: Sale of Timber situated within Sportsmen's Club Shooting Range Site. Motion by
Commission-er Brown to award bid to Fred Pleinea, Jr. as hav ing submitted the highest percentage for timber.
Unanimous.
