Dick Bradley advised that Jefferson County received priority *2 to receive Washington Futures State Funds
under Ref. 29, for the construction of a mult1-pupose center. He stated that applications should be available
in the next few weeks.
John Doubak,Direct or, Jefferson County DQpartment of Emergency Services, presented his yearly program and
progress report. Chairman Kelly signed the report as Local Chief Executive.
The Board received three pre-application notification forms from the Olympic Regional Planning Council re:
(1) Departm&nt of Game and the Office of Program Planning and Fiscal Managemarlt to provide comprehenaiva
planninq and manaqement assistance for Indian tribes (HUD 701); (2) Department of Gama, for the acquisition
of 47.5 acres on Protection Island for the protection of rare seabirds; (3) Clallam-Jefferson Compo Health
Council, to allow a study reqardino the feasibility and planning for an Emergency Medical System for the area.
All three applications were referred to Cunningham for investigation.
The Board approved and signed Resolution No. 24-74, Temporary Loan for the Clerk's Office, as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. !i:ll
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington, have been advised of an
error that was made in the Clerk's Office relative to "support payments", and
WHEREAS, State Auditor Ray lohnson recommends that a temporary loan be authorized to enable
correction of said error,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, lEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHING1'ON
that the Auditor be, and hereby she is authorized to draw up a warrant from Advanced Expenditures to the
County Clerk's Trust Account for the amount of $200.00, for the purpose of balancing this account, and which
shall be returned to Advanced Expenditures within sixty (60) days.
APPPROVE and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1974.

RESOLUTION NO. 25-74
A RESOL:UTION, IN THE MATTER OF A HOUSING RECONNAISSANCE FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY.
WHEREAS, it is of benefit to both the public and private selctor of Jefferson O:Junty to becomo awaro of the
County's housing supply and demand, and
WHEREA..q I development of the Trident Naval Projeot in Kitllap County, and a pOSSible expanSion of U. S. Navy
faoilities on Indian Island, may cause inoreased pressure on Jefferson County's housing supply,and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Office of Community Development will provide H.U .D. 701 Planning Grant
Funds for a Housing Supply and Demand Reoonnaissance of Jefforson County,
NOW, THEREF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commlasioners enter into a oontl'act with the
Office of Community Development for said grant funds, t.1nd that the Chairman of the Board is autho-
rized to endorse all neoessary oontraots, suboontraots, and dooum(lnts relllltad thereto.
