ington StandardS'lBcifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopt~d by the Board.

Motion by Commissioner 0' Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to approve and sign Bid Call for specified
luminaires and supplies, for Memorial Field, to be opened and read July 1st. Unanimous. The Board also
granted permission to call for bids for the poles.
Hearing for Ordinance No. 1-74, Amending Ordinance No. C-382 re: Section II, Sick Leave for County Em-
ployees. Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner. O'Meara to approve and sign Ordinance
No. 1-74, as follows. Unanimous.
ORDINANCE NO. 1::74
AN ORDINANCE of Jefferson County, Washington, amending Ordinance No. C-382 adopted by the Board
of County Commissioners for Jefferson County, December 1, 1958, entitled "An Ordinance of lefferson County
creating and establishing a plan or system with respect to vacations and sick leave of deputies and county
employees employed on both a monthly and lor diem or hourly basis" .
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY does ordai:l as follows:
Section 2.
That portion of Section 2 of Ordimnce No. C-382, entitled "An Ordinance of
Jefferson County creating and establishing a plan or Rystem with respect.to vacations and sick leave of deputies
and county employees employed on both a monthly and I or per diem or hourly basis II be and the fl<,me is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Retroactive and effective as of lanuary 1, 1974, €Ivery regularly appointed deputy and each county
employee employed on a monthly basis, shall be entitled to sick leave, with pay, of one day per month, provid-
ed such leave shall be entitled to accumulate, but such accumulation shall not exceed a maximum of 240 days.
Accumulated sick leave shall be paid back at ths rate of 15%, when a deputy or county employee retires or
is disabled.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th_ day of June, 1971.
