In the matter of the DosewaUips

Resolution to Relocate and Construct
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention to improve
one mile of the Dosewall1ps Road by relocating ,clearing, grubbing and draining.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is hereby appropriated sums
in the following deta il:

The county road purpose herein described is HEREBY DEClARED to be a public necessity and the County
Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed thereon as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Contract in accordance with State of Washing-
ton Standard SpeCifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by this Board.

The Board received and reviewed two memorandums from Porsecuting Attorney Daly re: C. V. Morrison vs
Jefferson County €It all. Prosecuting Attorney Daly explained that he had discussed the matter with Mr.
Morrison's Attorney and he stated that the definitely will not accept the Board of Tax Appeals value of $84,000
or the County Assessor's value of $33,000. Mr. Daly stated that he personally is persuaded to the $'13,000
figure, however, he feels that the Assessor should retain private counsel, at the county's expense, to represent
him at the trial.

Request frorrRobert M. Goehring, Coordinator, Mental Health & Mental Retardation Program, for a budget
transfer of $3,007 from the Professional Services category to the Salaries and Wagl9s category to enable the
hiring of a half-time caseworker beginning July 1, 1974. Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by
Commissioner Brown to approve. Unanimous. Resolution be drafted.

Letter from Robert Johnson,Chairman , Mental Health & Mental Retardation, advising that four vacancies exist
on the County MHIMR Board, and submits the names of four persons whom they recommend be appointed to fill
the vac..,noies. The four perSOl1S are: Mrs. Velma Radon, Mr. Waring Fitch, Mrs. Martha Woodworth, and Ell'.
Art Krout. Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to apPclint these four people as
Members of thl~ County MH/MR Board as recommended. Unanimous.

Planning Director Cunningham presented a Shoreline Management Permit Application for :Oavid Johnston, Dabob
Bay, for the purpose of oyster cultchlng. Cunningham said that Mr. Johnston, ahs a sub,.Ut.le (deep water)
leaee with the Department of Natural Resources. The Ad"tllory Commi'ctae has inspeoted the projeot and the
project site and finds that it complys with the polioies of the Shoreline Aot, and therefore, rooommends approval.:
