July 15, 1974
10:00a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Walter A. Kelly with all Members present.
Board approved and signed Call for Bids, for furnishing some materials and completing the installation of the
lighting system at Memorial Athletic Field, to be opened and read July 29th. at IO:OOa.m.
Board approved and signed a contract with Hilltop Construction Company for the construction of Black Point
Road No. 72, as per bid awarded July 1st.
Motion by Commissioner Brown, second by Commissioner O'Meara to approve and Sign Resolution No. 40-74,
relating to a supplemental emergency budget for Superior Court, as follow, Unanimous.
RESOLUTION NO. 40-74
WHEREAS, Superior Court Judge G. B. Chamberlin advised the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that the legislature has created another JudgeShip for the Clallam-Jefferson Judicial District, and
WHEREAS, funds to operate another department of the Superior Court is a\ necessity, and
WHEREAS, a supplemental emergency budget will now be required when the Superior Court Judge,
Tyler C. Moffet, pOSition becomes effective luly 23, 1974 , and
WHEREAS, it was impossible to foresee the conditions which arose requiring the expenditure of more
funds than were provided for in the 1974 Superior Court Budget, and
WHEREAS, this is considered a non-debatable emergency, now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County Commifloioners, meeting in regular
session, that-: a non-debatable emergency exists in the Superior Court's BudgElt for 1974 in the amount of
$4,600.00 and it is hereby approved that the following amount be placed into the Superior Court Budget
as indicated on the attached sheet, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Auditor be authorized to supplement the abovo amount to be
credited to the above account.
