Jack Ralls and Sheriff Deputy Booth appeared re: Proposed removal of bridge at Lake Leland. They stated
that people ranging in age from 16 to 23 years have been using the bridge for nude and obscene parties, are
trespassing on private property, and invading the privacy of c.>thers. Mr. Ralls said he is afraid for his family
and requests the bridge be removed immediately. The Board advised they had planned to remove the bridge
after fishing season, however, they concur that the situation warrants immediate removal of the superstructure
and will contact Sheriff Deputy Mike Thompson, qualiflad skin diver, for possible under water removal of the
pilings.
Chairman Kelly advised that it will be necessary to hold a hearing regarding a pay increase for the incoming
county commissioners and it will have to be held prior to this years general election in November. Board de-
termined that it will be held before budget time so that it can be included in the 1975 budget.

Bob Turpin, employee of Evergreen Environmental Development Corp. appeared ra: Relocation of County Road. ii
He said that the corporation is now in the planning stages for a cOiinping club on the tip of Toandos 'Peninsula :1
and are propOSing the relocation of a section of county road in that area. He said the road affects approximately:,
sixteen property owners and they agree to the proposal. However, his question is, since the present road does ;i
not meet county standards, will they be reqUired to meet the existing county requirements on the replacement '
road? The concurs that a standard road is required and requests Mr. Turpin to work through Engineer Becker.
Norris Short, Chairman,PlanningCommission, suggests that the courty place road indentification signs at
intersections and junctions, mainly for easier road identification in the event of an accident. Board concurs,
however, they believe several signs should be placed along the roads.
Commissioner O'Meara also s~lggests that the Fire Districts be asked to post their bou.ndary lines on the
highways to avoid confusion when there is a fire.
Mr. Short also discussed: (I) Required Building Code, Le. how restriCtive the Board's requiremEn ts will
be; (2) Access roads in five acre parcels. Le. who's responsibilitY. Board stated that the county is not
obligated to build roads on private property.
A letter was received from Homer S. Smith, Jr., Insurance Agent, regarding II a,n insurance inquiry into what
would happen if the fill at Moyer Canyon culvert on Coyle Peninsula should rupture and flood the valley? Board
is uncertain as to the exact location and will discuss the matter with Engineer Becker.
