RESOLUTION NO.
52-74
WHEREAS, the B(''Clrd of County Commissioners for Jefferson County having been advised by the
Presiding Judge of our Superior Court that due to increased jur~' business additional app:-opriation needs to
be made to carryon the Court's busineas: and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists and that the expenditure of additional funds could not
have been reasonably foreseen at the time of making said budget: and
WHEREAS, this is a stated meeting date of said Board, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the aforesaid facts constitute an emergency and the estimated amount of
funds to be appropriated to meet such an emergency is $700.00, under Superior Court Budget classifications
as follows:
( a ) -116-512-70-31-001 (Bailiff) for additional $250.00:
( b) 116-512-70-42-002 (Miscellaneous Other Expenses) for additional $450.00: and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing appropriation is necessary to meet mandatory expenditures
required by law. This emergency resolution and appropriation shall become effective as of this date without
further notice or hearing.

WHEREAS, it has been brought to tha attention of this Board of County Commissioners by the Director
of Planning that certain funds should be e,tpended for the purpose of complying with the provisions of the
Federal Emergency Employment Act, and
WHEREAS, appropriation 'therefore was not included in the Planning Department budget of this County
for fiscal 1974 , and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists an,d the appropriation and expendutire of funds could
not have been reasonably foreseen by said Board at budget making time, thf.'lrefore
BE IT RESOLVED 'that the aforementioned facts constitute an emel'gency and the estimated amount of
appropriation to mGet the same is $300.00, under hudget classifications as follows:
Clerical help (11-C03)......... $250.00
Fringe benefits (0:. A. .S. I.) (1l-OOI,.005).....; :$50.00,
and that notioe of a publio hellrlno hereon shall be given, said hellr(ng to be held on Monday, the 9th day of
Septomber, 1974, tIt the hou,r of 10:00 in the foronoon of said day at t.he Commias1oners I Room in the Jefferson
County Court House, Port 'rownlilend , Washington.
