Board approved and Signed Permit with ITT Rayonier, Inc. for the purpose of removing approximately 1,000
cubic yards of gravel from Rayonier's private gravelpit, to be used as a cover for the dump in Clearwater.
Assessor Hansen presented a memo requesting confirmation regarding a copy of a letter of commitment from
the law firm of Wilson, Platt, Johnson and Irwin to represent Mr. Hansen as Assessor and Lillian Jacobsen as
Treasurer in C. V. Morrison vs Jefferson County, et al. Letter states that Bart G. Irwin would be the attorney
of record and the compensation for services rendered would be $35 per hour. Hansen advised that Frank Feeley
has stated that he will make the appraisel for the county.
Prosecuting Attorney Daly stated that due to the county now having a Deputy Prosecuting Attomey it is
proper that the Deputy defend Mr. Hansen dissipating the need for special counseling. Deputy Prosecutor
Howard will be consulted before any final determination is made by the Board.
Two requests for building permit extensions from Allan C, Haglund, permit no. 300, and Norma R. Dehnhoff,
permit no. 429, were approved by the Board. Notice of approval will be forwarded to the applicants.
Letter were received from Bob Goehring, Coordinator, MH/MR, and the Department of Social and Health
Services re: Availability of a cash advance of working capital. Mr. Goehring advises there is no need of a
cash advance at this time. Notice will be sent accordingly.
Board approved and Signed two pre-application notifications from the Olympic Regional Planning Council re:
(1) Black Diamond Water Assoc; and (2) Makah Cultural and Research Center.
Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers Public Notice No. 071-0YB-I-002228, David A, Johnston, Dabob
Bay, to install buoys, marker, anchors and floats was approved by the BOai'd. Notice will be sent accordingly,
Board discussed copy of letter from the District Sanitarian to the Department of Public Works re: Port Townsend
Sanitary Landfill. Board has requested a variance for burning from the OlympiC Air Pollution Control Authority
a nd if granted, will have an affoct on the provisional permit issued by the Health Departmert. Board will discusS
the matter with Mr. Durant.'
The Board approved reimbursement request from Clallam-Jefferson County Community Action Council for the
amount of $1,600, as stipulated in the Consulting Agreement, third party contract No. CPA-WA-1O-19-1020-
505.04 between the Office of Community Deve lopment and Jefferson County.
Board approved and signed application for assistance from Soldiers'and Sailors' Relief Fund for Clint Cobb for
the amount of $36.85.
The Board begin hearings on the Current Expense Budget for 1975 as stipulated under RCW 36.40.070- .080-
.090.
