for continuance of the Budget hearing.

9:00a.m. Meeting reconvened for the purpose of working on the county budget for 1975, with Commissioners
A. M. 0' Meara and B. G. Brown present and Chairman Walter A. Kelly absent.
Assessor Hansen and Treasurer Lillian Jacobsen appeared to disc .uss their portions of the proposed budget
and to explain the increases over 1974.

After considerable discussion, mainly relating to new pOSitions for the Treasurer's office, the meeting was
recessed until Friday, October 11th at 10:00a.m. for finalization of the 1975 budget.

lO:OOa.m. Meeting reconvened at this hour with all members present.
The remaining elected officials and department heads not previously attending 1975 budget session appeared
to interpret their portions of the proposed budget.
Upon conclusion of the budget hearing it was moved by Commissioner O'Meara and seconded by Commissioner
Brown to approve and sign Resolution's No. 61-74A and No, 61-74B adopting the Current Expense Budget
for 1975, as follows. Unanimous.
RESOLUTION NO. 51-74 A
ANNUAL CURRENT EXPENSE BUDGET FOR 1975
I
'WHEREAS, State of Washington, Laws of 1941, Chapter 99, does provide that on the first Monday in
October of each year, the Board of County Commissioners shall meet at the time and place'designated to
prior notice to adopt the Budget for the erlsuing year, and
WHEREAS, said laws having been complied with, hearings held at which taxpayers might be heard andl
or given an opportunity to question any part of the proposed budget and officials in charge of various
departments were called in and consulted concerning the Budget for their Department: now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, JEFI'ERSON COUNTY I WASHINGTON I
that the following budget be and it hereby is adopted as the CURRENT EXPENSE BUDGET OF JEFFERSON
COUNTY for the calendar year 1975.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of October, 1974.
