Motion by Commissioner 0' Meara, Second/by Commissioner Brown to approve and sign Agreement, .
as follows. Unanimous.
AGREEMENT
..
This Agreement is entered into by and between Jefferson County Hospital District No. Two, hereinafter
referred to as the "HosPital," and Jefferson County,a political subdivision of the State of Washington,
hereinafter referred to as the "County."
WHEREAS, the Uniform Alcoholism .:tnct Into:dcation Treatment Act, Ch, lZ2, La'NS of 1972,First Ex.
Session, as amended by Ch. 175, Laws Of 1974. 'l'hlrd E,c. Sesston (RCW 70 .96A) , b'3comes effective
January 1, 1975, and

WHEREAS, tho said Act roqUlres the availability of an "Approved Treatment Facility" (Detoxification
Center) for treatment of those into,<icatl!id 01' incapacitated by alcohol, and
WHEREAS, the Hospital has b!3en aCCepted by the Department of Social and Health Services as an
"Approved Treatment FacUlty," and
WHEREAS, the Office of Alco hollsm, DeP8rtrnent of Social and Health Services, has approved the
County's Alcohollsm PLan for 1975 uUltr.ln\1 the Hospital for Its treatment facility.

NOW, THEREFORE. IT IS AGREED ~s :follows:

intoxicated persons as Get out in tho Uniform Alcoholism and IntOXication Act.

The Hospital will bill for the treatmOnt providdd at Its going rata for the said services. Each billing
wlll provide 1I full itemlz,atlon of the services and medication provided and the individual for whom the
treatment was provided.

The County shall pay the Hospital for the trea tm9nt it !'fovidea in accordance with the said Act, except
where other funds are provided for such trl~atrnent,
IV.
This agreement shall be effeotive as of the 1st day of January, 1975, and shall continua in effect for n

period of one year from that date or until terminated under the term Bet out below.

Termination of this aqreement may be effected by either party by providing thirty (30) days written notice
