The Board and Mr. Goehring also discussed the feasibility of a Drug Education Program which would
be completely funded by the State. All concur that the county could benefit by such a program. Mr. Goehring
will present a program budc;et for approval by the Board.

Motion by Commissioner O'Meara, second by Commissioner Brown to adopt and Sign Resolution No. 64-74,

DISBURSEMENT OF FEDERAL FOREST RESERVE MONIES
A RESOLUTION OF TJ-TE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
distributing and allocation FEDERAL FOREST RESERVE MONIES, received bl' Tefferson County for i:he calendar

year 1974.
"VPEREAS, the Tefferso,n County Treasurer is in receipt of the sum of one million, three hundred
seventeen thousand, eight hundred forty dollars and eighty-three cents ($1,317,840.83) from the State
Auditor of the State of Washington, representing this County's distributive share of Federal Forest Reserve
Revenues apportioned by the U. S. Department of Agriculture during the calendar year 1973 and pursuant
to the statute of the State of Washington in such cases made and provided it is now the duty of the B::a rd
.
of Jefferson County Commissioners to make the propar disposition thereof, and
WF-lEREAS, this Board of County Commissioners has given careful consideration to the needs of the
County Road System and to the needs of the several school districts of Jefferson County and their necessary
adminstrative requ irements,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT nESOLVED and ths BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSI01\TERS does hereby order,

allocate, distribute and apportion said sum of $1,317,840.83 as follows:
(A) to the COUNTY ROAD FUND for the maintennace and construction of County
Roads during the year 1975, the sum of $658,920.42;

'B) to the COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS the sum of $658,920.41, to be
distributed as follows: to be apportioned according to attendance .il1
