(vi) Chapter 3, 303 (a) [Table No. 3-A- Building Permit Fees) is hereby amended by adding
to the established schedule the following:
For all Group K Occupancy applications, a fee of Twenty Dollars ($20) is established.
(B( Uniform Mechanical Code, 1973 edition, published by the International Conference of Building
Officials and International Associationof Plumbing and Mechanical Officials.

(C) The Unifrom Fire Code with appendices thereto, 1973 edition, published by the International
Conference of Building Officials and the western Fire Chief's Association.
(D) The Uniform Plumbing Code, 1973 edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing
and Mechanical Officials:

PROVIDED, that Chapter 11 of such code is not adopted: PROVIDED, that notwithsta nding any, wording
in this Code, nothing in this code shall apply to the installation of any gas piping water heaters, or vents
for water heaters; and
(E) The American National Standard Specifications for Making Bui Idings and Facilittes Accessible to,

and Useable by, the Physically Handicapped, published by the American National Standards
Institute I Incorporated, Document ANSI All7 .1-1961 (reaffirmed 1971.)
In case of conflict among the codes enumarated in Section 1, (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e) of this ordinance

the first named cede shall govern over those following, save and except such portions as are hereinafter
by this ordinance deleted, modified, or amended, of which said codes, three copoes have been filed in
the Jefferson County Auditor's offIce and said codes are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if

set out at length herein, and from the effective date of this Ordinance the provisions thereof shall be
controlling within the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County.
SECTION 6. In comformity with the provisions of the State Building Code and Chapter 29.34, Interlocal
CooperatIon Act, Jefferson County, upon proper procedure delinated under RCW 36.32.120 (powers of
board), may provide for administration and enforcement of the State Building Code within its jurisdictional
boundries by establishing a local building department. Such ad.ministration and enforcement of the State
BUILDING CODE by its building department shall include all of the codes comprising the State BuJ.lding
.
Code as enumerated in the previous section.
SECTION 8. Should any section, paragraph, sentence or work of this Ordinance or of the codes hereby
adopted be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners
that it would have passod all other portions of this Ordinance and of the codes hereby adopted, independent

of the olimination herefrom of any portion as may be declared invalid, and accordingly, such declaration
of invalidity shaUnot affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole nor arty part thereof other than the part
so dar:lared to be invalid.
SECTION 9. The Ordinance shall take effoct hnd be in forco {rom and aftel' its adoption as required by law.
