Olympic Peninsula strong! 💙 <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=6821e11288&e=d7954f414c> Many missions, one purpose Did you know that there are over 1,200 nonprofit organizations on the North Olympic Peninsula in Jefferson and Clallam counties? Together, these organizations invest tens of thousands of volunteer hours in our communities each year. These charitable groups—small and large—are administered, staffed, and directed by our friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Nonprofit groups on the peninsula care for our children and elderly; they build and maintain parks, trails, and recreational areas; they provide care and comfort for those who need a hand up. They are voluntary civil associations of every kind: clinics, churches, community centers. You name it. Although they represent a multitude of missions, they share one purpose: to do good in our communities. During this holiday season, we like to recognize and show our gratitude for the many voluntary associations throughout the North Olympic Peninsula. They are a part of what makes living and working on the North Olympic Peninsula special. The Peninsula Trails Coalition works with many nonprofit groups that help to maintain, build, and advocate for the Olympic Discovery Trail. These include organizations like the Back Country Horseman of Washington Peninsula Chapter <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=45f4f81580&e=d7954f414c> , the Jefferson Land Trust <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=0795f89297&e=d7954f414c> , and the Dungeness River Nature Center <https://olympicdiscoverytr ail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=f6886276c2&e=d7954f414c> , to name just a few. Many of you who volunteer with and who support the Peninsula Trails Coalition also work with other voluntary associations in our backyard.
