The Peninsula Trails Coalition depends on your financial support to sustain the Olympic Discovery Trail as a world class, multi-use pathway connecting our communities across the North Olympic Peninsula; providing recreation and active transportation access for all users; and serving as a catalyst for regional economic development. In 2024 alone the Peninsula Trails Coalition executed thousands of hours of maintenance and caretaking on the Olympic Discovery Trail. Through our sprawling volunteer corps in Jefferson and Clallam counties and coordination with partner groups and governmental agencies, the Peninsula Trails Coalition: * Installed new directional signage throughout the trail * Partnered with Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and other agencies to remove graffiti and repair exhausted lighting * Refurbished informational kiosks and parking lots * Printed and distributed thousands of trail maps and brochures * Coordinated work crews and trail adopters to mow, maintain, and clear the trail * Repaired picnic tables, bridges, and equestrian mounting blocks * Added bike repair stations * Removed trees, broken limbs, and other debris inhibiting trail usage * Conducted over 50 events that brought athletes of every age and ability, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members together for trail activities In 2024, the Peninsula Trails Coalition and its volunteers were instrumental in keeping the Olympic Discovery Trail trimmed, active, and safe.
