We know we’ve sent a lot of reminders over the last few days, but with just TWO DAYS left before the January 7th vote, this is one final push to make your voice heard!
On January 7th, the Washington Board of Natural Resources will vote on whether to permanently ban commercial net pen aquaculture in state waters. This decision is critical to protecting
Puget Sound for future generations.
If the ban passes, Washington will lead the world by successfully removing and permanently banning this harmful industry. But Cooke Aquaculture and its allies are working hard to sway
the Board in their favor.
We need you to speak up now. Your voice can help ensure the Board makes the right choice—for wild salmon, orcas, Tribal food security, and the health of Puget Sound.

Whether you signed up to testify or not, please join us at the January Board of Natural Resources meeting next Tuesday January 7th in Olympia, WA when the members will cast a final vote
on whether to permanently adopt the executive order banning commercial net pens.
We already know the aquaculture industry is planning to pack the room with numerous industry representatives in an attempt to convince the Board that there is substantial support for
returning commercial net pen aquaculture to Puget Sound.
It's essential we outnumber Cooke Aquaculture and their friends to demonstrate the overwhelming and broad public support for permanently protecting Puget Sound from daily pollution,
viruses, and catastrophic escape events.
