Marine Resource Committee; JC Scientific Community Citizen Representative;
Wendy Feltham; JC Economic Groups Citizen Representative; Eileen Cooney
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The North Pacific Coast Marine Resource Committee (NPCMRC)had one position which expired on
December 7, 2024 and one position that will expire on January 19, 2025. An ad was placed in the paper
which ran from December 11 —27" 2024,to fill these positions. All two (2) existing members would like to
be reappointed to their positions.
ANALYSIS:
The two (2)North Pacific Coast Marine Resource Committee members, listed above, have submitted their
requests for reappointment to this committee. Their continued desire to serve is greatly appreciated.
RECOMMENDATION
The North Pacific Coast Marine Resource Committee recommends that the Board approve the following
members:
1. Wendy Feltham—Jefferson County Scientific Community Citizen Representative—Two (2)
year term expiring January 13, 2027
2. Eileen Cooney—Jefferson County Economic Groups Citizen Representative—Two (2)year
term expiring January 13, 2027

North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee (NPC MRC)
Two Vacancies for Jefferson County Citizens to Represent:
-Scientific Community
-Economic Groups
The NPC MRC is an advisory group to the Jefferson and Clallam County Boards of Commissioners that
assists in understanding, stewarding, and restoring coastal and marine resources of the Pacific Coast
(West End). The organization works in support of ecosystem health, sustainable marine resources-based
livelihoods, cultural integrity and coastal communities. Funding is provided through the Washington
Department of Fish &Wildlife.There are currently two vacancies for Jefferson County citizen volunteers.
Volunteer members serve two-year terms. In addition to citizen representatives (three from each
county), the NPC MRC voting seats include Clallam County,Jefferson County, the City of Forks, Makah
Tribe, Quileute Tribe, Hoh Tribe and Quinault Nation.
The NPC MRC meets on third Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm at the UW Olympic Natural Resources Center or
Peninsula College, both in Forks, WA, as well as online. Specific meeting information is available on the
program and county webpages. Interested individuals should submit an email or letter to

later than December 27, 2024 to request an application.This is a non-paid position. For more
