2025 Legislative Session and Upcoming Events

The 2025 Legislative Session begins this week, and that means planning and excitement for our annual Parks and Great Outdoors Legislative Day are well underway!
This year's Legislative Day will take place on February 11, less than a month from now. Parks and Great Outdoors Day is our most effective advocacy effort to help secure funding for
the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP). We encourage and hope that as many Washington residents as possible will join us for virtual meetings with their district’s elected
officials. These meetings are a fun way to speak up about your passion for the outdoors and conserving our state’s natural resources, while also voicing your wishes for parks and recreation
funding directly to legislators.
The Coalition is requesting $150 million for the upcoming biennium. This funding is crucial to meet the growing demand for recreational resources on our public lands, support farmland
and habitat preservation, and invest in the continued high quality of life for all Washington residents.
