I am sending all of you our response to the Notice of Type II Zoning Permit Application ZON2024-00011 because I think the proposal for a Conservation Burial Ground is something that
Jefferson County needs to step back and ask if Schwartz Rd is the best place for this type of project. We are not against the concept of a green burial site, but locating it on Schwartz
Road is an unsafe choice. The outcome of the decisions made now will affect the residents of Marrowstone Island and Jefferson County permanently.
This project needs a complete and transparent evaluation.
