Our fourth quarter was busier than usual. The highlight was our annual Fiber Festival, one of the
largest fiber events in Jefferson County, almost doubled in attendance from the prior year. The
event brings people from all over the state and supports numerous local vendors and businesses in
Quilcene. Worthington Park hosted private events and plus a celebratory luncheon for museum
docents and all our amazing volunteers. We also had a special reception at the mansion for our
lifetime members. In support of the initiative to promote tourism in the non-peak seasons our
museum extended its openings into November.
We experienced additional unplanned maintenance needs in the 4th quarter. Additionally, as
expected, we utilized our remaining 2024 LTAC funds part way though the quarter for the operations
and promotion of the Museum, Mansion and Park. We funded the rest or expenses through a
combination of donations, revenue from rentals of the mansion and park, and dipping into the
museums reserve funds.
