Washington State has mandated Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act training for
government staff and officials.Newly elected or reappointed members of Jefferson County Advisory
Boards and Commissions are also required to take this training. Please use this link to access the

Once you have completed each training,please print and sign a certificate. The County will need a copy

You have 90 days from your appointment date to complete this training.You must complete the training
every 4 years. If you serve on more than one advisory board you only need to complete the training once
and provide one copy of your signed certificate.

SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT (1) re: Jefferson County Board of
Health(BOH); Representing Consumer of Public Health—Gabrielle Vanwert
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
In August, 2024 an ad was placed in the Leader to solicit applications for an open position on the Jefferson
County Board of Health. The ad was extended until December 16, 2024,to collect more applications.
The candidates were interviewed by the BOH and voting occurred on January 16, 2025.
The BOH recommends the appointment of Gabrielle Vanwert to represent the position of Consumer of Public
Health.
ANALYSIS:
It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioner's approve the following advisory board
appointment:
Gabrielle Vanwert—Representing the Consumer of Public Health beginning on January 27, 2025.
Serving a three (3)year term to expire on May 31, 2028.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the letter for the appointment to the Jefferson County Board of Health:
