Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's It Con's: This change order includes the increase of working days only. The increase in working days are from field directive and defect materials which were directed to be replaced. The total working days to add to the contract is 24 working days. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order is not for monetary value. The project is funded at 100% by both Department of Commerce and the Department of Ecology combined funding. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 5 with Seton Construction, and return one original to Public Works for further processing. The range of the additional days are from field directives and replacement of defective materials. 10 working days-Replacement of defective HDPE Wye's delayed completion of Area 01.During low pressure sewer testing it was discovered a supplier issued defective HDPE fittings and all were removed and reinstalled in Area 01. 1 working day-Discovered and repaired/replaced infiltration pipe during main installation on July 15,2024. 2 working days- Multiple unlocated water services over in Areas 01 and 02,which slowed or hafted sewer main installation. 2 working days -Additional clearing and clean behind the Barber Shop(Property 86). 2 working days- Follow-up work associated with repair of watermain break at Chimacum Rd and Ness'Corner Rd.(Repair work was performed on a non working day). Follow up work incl. pavement prep,concrete and asphalt paving. 1 working day- Extended the 3 inch main behind the Kivley Center on October 15,2024. 1 working day-Extended side sewer for the County Jail(Prop. 1118)to assist in a better connection for Phase 4-Stage 1 project. 1 working day-went back and added service 89A on Chimacum Road for Doug Joyce housing on October 23,2024. 2 working days-Installed 6 services on Mason Street not shown on drawings. The additional services for the housing on the north side of Mason Street and additional connections at Habitat property.
