In the Matter of Adopting the Limiting }
Factor for the Jefferson County }
Road Fund Property Tax Levy }
RESOLUTION NO. 68-09
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County has met and
considered the County budget for the calendar year 20 I 0; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in the course of considering the budget
for 20 I 0 has reviewed all sources of revenue and examined all anticipated expenses and
obligations; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that, due to increased
service demand costs for County Roads and regulation requirements for public safety, the Board of
County Commissioners finds that there is a substantial need to increase the regular County Road
Fund property tax limit factor above the rate of inflation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County that the limit factor for the County Road Fund levy for the calendar year 2010
shall be 101 percent of the highest amount of regular property taxes that could have been lawfully
levied in this taxing district in any year since 1985.
