Dear Commissioners,
I support the creation of a public facility district in port Hadlock, especially the construction of a new pool. Please build a new pool. Build whatever version of a pool you can get
approved and done. I’d much rather have a serviceable pool than a grand vision of an elaborate multifaceted recreation facility that balloons out of control and never gets built. The
essential elements of a pool facility are a 25 yard, 8 lane pool, and some sort of easy entry shallow warmer pool for young children. It’s not sexy, but the sequim ymca pool has the
essentials.
Also, the name “PFD” is confusing. When I heard the commissioners were having a PFD workshop, I thought it was a personal floatation device workshop, so I almost didn’t read the rest
of the email. Just wanted to “float” the idea of possibly not using the PFD acronym.
