Dear Commissioners,
I own a home in Port Townsend and fully support new bonds for a new pool. This County has the least amount of county owned recreational facilities than anywhere I have lived. I am 66
years old and I want to lap swim in a pool, play pickleball on nice courts, lift weights in a decent facility, and engage in other healthy activities.
There are many reasonably wealthy people in this county so a super aggressive fundraising campaign is needed. Hire a rock star person to run it please.
While I have your ear, the PT golf course needs to stay in recreational use but golf is not the answer. Compare use by counting 'people per acre' and the hundreds of kids and adults
paying soccer fees crushes golf. Walking trails are most needed for aging population. Keep a driving range for golfers.
Make decisions! Stop the endless discussions!
