Washington 2025-26 Legislative Session Update:
This legislative session, JCIRA will again keep our supporters informed of important state legislation that affects the immigrant community in the hopes that you will take action. We
work in solidarity with WAISN (Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network) to track and impact relative bills as they proceed through the legislative process. The following is information
re campaigns and bills that we recommend you support.
1) Unemployment Insurance for Undocumented Workers (HB1773 <https://jcira.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e6a5ce9c533fce19d6336ca83&id=3584a2b5c1&e=e9fe4694e3> /SB5626 <https://jcira.us12.list-ma
nage.com/track/click?u=e6a5ce9c533fce19d6336ca83&id=cc95e0e55f&e=e9fe4694e3> ) Every worker deserves access to unemployment insurance when the unexpected happens and they experience
job loss. This bill would create and fully fund an unemployment insurance program for undocumented workers equivalent to the existing program that is available for Washington residents.

Apple Health Expansion Program to ensure coverage for all eligible low-income immigrants and refugees, and to continue funding for Cascade Care subsidies. Everyone deserves health care

act by limiting rent and fee increases, requiring notice of rent and fee increases, limiting fees and deposits… Cast your support.

k/click?u=e6a5ce9c533fce19d6336ca83&id=e8a4566412&e=e9fe4694e3> ) a bill to provide labor market protections for domestic workers. This act declares that health, safety, wage protections,
and general welfare are guaranteed for domestic workers. This includes meal and rest breaks, clarity on what constitutes working time, sick time to care for themselves and their families,
and the freedom from discrimination and sexual harassment. Cast your support.

limit outside militia activities within the state. Note: We don’t know yet to what extreme the new federal administration will go in its anti-immigrant policy, but Washington needs
