RE: Date of Road Establishment
SR116/Fort Flager Road & Parcel APN 953700411
After a review of the Department of Public Works records, with regards to the above request, the
following conclusion has been reached:
This road was petitioned for establishment January 30, 1900 as a 60 foot right of way. Approved
surveyors' Field Notes were filed June 5, 1902 as Fort Flagler Road, Plat Book No. 2 Pg. 34.
Acceptance of Completion was filed July 27, 1908. The SR116/ Fort Flagler road is on the 1915
and the 1938 County Road Maps.

Hi Mara,
George King wonders if parcel 953700411 might be segregated due to SR 116 dividing it. I have requested and received
from WSDOT information regarding SR 116. They commented as follows:
We got SR 116 from Jefferson County by Legislative Actin 1991.
The plan attached is a 1971 county road project showing a existing road.
All we received(that I know of) is a quit clam deed from your county recorded on volume 448 at page 895 under
AFN 368962.
I hope this is some help.
Can you please respond with relevant history on this section of SR 116? I need to know what date that particular portion
of SR 116 was established. Was it before 1969?
I'll include your information in a formal response to the questioner along with information from the Assessor's office and
WSDOT.
