Statement of Issue:
The issue is requesting adoption of the Resolution creating County road project CR1854.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's:
This project is being added to the miscellaneous drainage and culvert replacement projects
which are included in the 2010-2015 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program and to the
Annual Construction Program for 2010, per this Resolution.
The purpose of this project is to alleviate annual flooding over the roadway located on Lake
Leland Road West at M.P. 1.30, in order to restore wintertime vehicular access. This project
will provide preliminary engineering analysis, design, permits, construction of the repair, and
construction engineering.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
The estimated cost of this project is $57,000, to be paid from County road funds.
Recommendation:
The attached resolution is recommended for your adoption. This action is recommended, as it
will allow for the engineering and construction of this project.
The Board is asked to sign the original Resolution where indicated, and return one signed copy to
Public Works (attn. John Wayand).
