ANALYSIS: Bayside has a strong record of providing compassionate support to the needy and vulnerable in Jefferson County and, as such, is uniquely qualified and staffed to administer this grant. Without the SSVF program being available to us here on the North Olympic Peninsula, many of our veteran heroes would be left without other viable options for support. Bayside Housing and Services' ability to secure this grant will ensure that more veterans can access the critical services necessary for their successful reintegration into civilian life. We partner with Bayside Housing on many social service projects, and believe that they are well positioned to administer this grant to the benefit of Jefferson County veterans. FISCAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION: Approve e attached letter of suppo for Bayside's SSVF grant application. Bayside Housing is uniquely positioned and staffed to offer compassionate execution of this program in Jefferson County. The services offered with this grant are critical for many of our veterans who are sometimes only a month away from finding themselves unhoused. Having a local agency provide this service is critical in maintaining the health and security of our at-risk veterans. Thank you for your consideration.
