SUBJECT: ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS (2) re: Local Emergency
Planning Committee (LEPC); State Representative; Christopher Caprio;
Jefferson County Sheriff Office; Andy Pernsteiner
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
In February, 2025, two applications were received for the open positions on the Local Emergency Planning
Committee (LEPC) in response to advertising efforts. Christopher Caprio and Andy Pernsteiner applied for
the positions.
ANALYSIS:
It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioner's approve the following advisory
committee appointments:
• Christopher Caprio—Representing the State of Washington beginning on February 24, 2025.
Serving a two (2)year term to expire on February 24, 2027.
• Andy Pernsteiner—Representing the Jefferson County Sheriff Office beginning on February 24,
2025. Serving an unexpired term that will expire on July 8, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the letters for the appointment to the Local Emergency Planning Committee:
• Christopher Caprio—Representing the State of Washington
• Andy Pernsteiner—Representing the Jefferson County Sheriff Office
