Port Townsend Yacht Club has all the facilities to reduce infectious disease transmission. ADA showers and toilets. Mom's Laundry across the streets and office with shelves and closet
for running an on site clinic. A commercial kitchen. Shelters don't prioritize hierarchy of need.
National Institute of Health in addition to access to hygiene and health care, better access to nutrition ( 209a shelter kitchen can't pass a health department inspection) and sufficient
sleep (209a shelter occupants complain about noise from the legion till the early hours of morning).
Isolation in hotels when people get sick is also an excellent way to reduce transmission rates.
