To the Port Townsend Board of County Commissioners
In your consideration of an interim sheriff to replace Sheriff Joe Nole after his early retirement, I would like to put in my thoughts on who I think would make an excellent replacement,
Patrol Deputy Art Frank. Art is well qualified as he has served many years in law enforcement before moving to Port Townsend and once here he felt the need to continue his service
as a Patrol Deputy. I have had the honor of working with Art while volunteering with Community Build, a local non-profit that builds Tiny Homes and related structures for the homeless
and low income residents of Jefferson County. Art is a skilled carpenter and has a passion for using his equipment and know-how to get the job done correctly and efficiently. In addition,
he takes the time to share his knowledge with others and works well with new volunteers. In short, I think he would do an excellent job as the interim Sheriff and I hope you take the
time to take a closer look at him with your selection process.
