BE IT RESOLVED that S. Discovery Road, County Road No. 601508 , from M.P. 0.25 to
M.P. 0.37,be improved as follows:
The intersection of S. Discovery Road and S. Jacob Miller Road is to be converted from a two
way stop intersection(stop signs on S. Jacob Miller Road only)to a four way stop intersection
(stop required for all traffic passing through the intersection).
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and
based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:

The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance
with R.C.W. 36.81.130.

X The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq.
X The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065
and W.A.C. 136.18. �/

Subject: Resolution to Create County Project
S Discovery/S Jacob Miller Intersection All Way Stop
County Road No. 601508
Statement of Issue: Create a county project known as the S. Discovery/S. Jacob Miller
Intersection All Way Stop Project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Traffic volumes, intersection geometry and
sight distance issues have resulted in higher than acceptable accidents rates at S.
Discovery/S. Jacob Miller intersection. The proposed project will convert the
intersection from a two way stop intersection (stop signs on S. Jacob Miller only) to a
four way stop intersection (stop required for all traffic passing through the intersection).
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total estimated project cost is $34,500, which
will be funded at 100% by County road funds. The majority of the work will be
completed by the County Road Crew.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to sign one original of the Resolution to
Create County Project.
