That is the name of the website. Article dated February 28, 2025; San Diego Safe Sleeping Camps Offer Urgent Alternative to Overcrowded Homeless Shelters. Please take a look. If you want to reduce infectious disease, if you want to reduce maintenance on toilets this method or strategy employed in combination with a Homeless/ low income ( a surprising number of people living in housing without toilets/showers) PTYC Day Center/Urban rest stop would go a long way to reducing the problems created by government and contractors together like overcrowding/ spreading infectious disease among the elderly/disabled/ immune suppressed. Urban Day Center with Commercial Kitchen for Nutrition. The separate office with closet and shelves could be used for minor medical triage. And of course ADA access that is key. The zoning is legal together these are your cheapest and most problem solving solutions. In the government/agency/department/ contractor paradigm/paradox it is always a competition to see who can fail more spectacularly. I'm the failure is success model you demoralize your constituents, voters and consumers by gaslighting, blowing smoke up the caboose. An example of this can be seen in the law enforcement/ behavior health areas where government agencies have convinced public that addiction is the major health problem when only a small mortality rate for addiction among people who experience homelessness exists, by exponential proportions the mortality rate for people who experience homelessness it is infectious disease spread by shelter housing that has an astronomically high mortality rate, followed by heart attack. Overdose among people who experience homelessness is way down the list after hypothermia. Housed people have an exponentially higher overdose rate. Another example is contractors/ government agencies don't want the local hometown paper writing about government failure so they employ two tactics, one is won't talk to press about information public is entitled to. The other is to take out ads in the papers and flyers on the streets that mention accomplishments. Essentially bribing the paper to keep quiet about problems ignored, neglected, swept under the rug. These strategies are effective for the average voter/taxpayers/consumer that is why these strategies are employed. Also a place to go for people living in cars/vans.
