Subject: CAC Recommendation re: Food and Forest Aspects of City and County
Comprehensive Plans
At the February 25, 2025 CAC meeting, the CAC approved two documents related to the county and city comprehensive plans (also attached to this email). Both the CAC Food Systems workgroup
and the CAC Forest workgroup had provided recommendations on additional language related to the climate and food and forest sections of the comprehensive plans, and both were approved
by the full CAC in the 2/25/25 meeting.
Note that while the County comprehensive plan was used as the reference for both documents, the recommendations apply to both the county and city comp plans. Please also note that for
the recommendation related to forests, it was recommended by the CAC that the city and county work with the Forest work group to prioritize and refine these to be in a format which
can be more easily integrated into the planning process.
