SUBJECT: ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT/REAPPOINTMENT (2) re:
Janette Mestre, District 1; Jonathan Waggoner, Marine Science Practitioners,
Educators or Researchers Alternate
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee advertised for a term that was expiring on March 1, 2025
and a vacant position for an alternate member. The following individuals would like to be reappointed or
appointed to this committee:
1. Reappointment for Janette Mestre for District 1
2. Appointment for Jonathan Waggoner for Marine Science Practitioners,Educators or Researchers
Alternate
ANALYSIS:
The two (2) Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee members, listed above, have submitted their
requests for appointment and reappointment to this committee. Their desire to service is greatly appreciated.
RECOMMENDATION
Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee recommends that the Board approve the following:
1. Janette Mestre—District 1 —Four(4) Year Term expiring March 10, 2029
2. Jonathan Waggoner—Marine Science Practitioners, Educators or Researchers Alternate—Four
(4) Year Term expiring March 10, 2029
